AGAPE THRIFT STORE
With the ever increasing needs of the community, Agape felt it was necessary to be able to provide for these needs. The new Agape Thrift Store opened for business in May, 2010 at the location of 1302 East Spring Street (State Route 29 East), St. Marys. This location is one block north of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital at the intersection of Spring and St. Clair Streets.
Donations of new and gently used items are welcome during Thrift Store business hours. To better process these donations, we ask that you try to be here at least thirty minutes prior to closing which allows us plenty of time to handle the donation. The Thrift Store carries many one-of-a-kind items. We offer an eclectic array of merchandise. All merchandise is sold at a reasonable and fair price. Need a replacement dish or plate? We may have it. Want to redecorate? We can offer exciting ideas at a fraction of other retail stores. Do you have a child going away to school and need to furnish a dorm room or new apartment? We can help with fun décor at little expense.
Donations are the sole support of our Thrift Store. We rely on donations which mean our merchandise is constantly changing and shoppers return frequently. We accept gently used clothing, house-wares, toys, games, cookware, furniture and so much more. Our Thrift Store has a variety of unique, interesting and useful items for sale. If you require a tax receipt, just mention it and we will be glad to provide one. We are an IRS approved non-profit charitable 501©3 organization.
The Agape Thrift Store is always looking for ways to continue to improve and grow. We have implemented many great suggestions from our customers and always welcome these ideas. Volunteers are important to the operation of our organization with many opportunities available. Please stop in and inquire.
As our communities grow, so do the needs of our communities. Please take a moment, clean out your closets or just change your décor and donate these items to Agape. We are proud of the fact that donations stay in our area.
Agape is able to exist and provide for those in need because of the kindness and generosity of our communities.
WHAT’S IN OUR THRIFT STORE
When you enter our Agape Thrift Store, you are in for great selections and one-of-a-kind treasures and bargains. Our goal is to work hard to make sure your shopping experience is truly memorable. Our employees and volunteers take great pride in selecting each and every item they put on display, just for you.
Whether it is the beautiful dress you wore to your prom, the toys you played with as a child, the jigsaw puzzle you put together with your friends or the fishing rod your father handed down to you, it all has meaning and hopefully will be meaningful to another.
HOW WE OPERATE
Our staff has created an atmosphere of a clean, well-organized and well stocked and customer oriented place to shop. The amount of incoming donations changes each day along with styles and seasonal items.
Customers must have their original sales receipt to exchange clothing and electrical items within seven (7) days of purchase. If you have the original sales receipt and the date is within the seven day time frame, you will receive a credit slip which must be used within thirty (30) days. You also have the option to exchange the item.
FORMS OF PAYMENT
We offer a wide range of payment methods. We accept cash, credit card and debit cards for purchase. Agape no longer accepts checks.
